Seton Hill College unlike any other university offers great communication and relationships between professors and students. Its small population in students gives the opportunity to know everyone and receive individual attention from professors. It is a Roman Catholic predominately female school, which may give the impression of a very strict institution but it really isn’t. The strictness involves no alcohol and visiting hour rules on campus. It’s located in a small town called Greensburg, Pa. It consists of 200 acres of beautiful land away from the city and away from distractions.
Seton Hill offers many majors in minors to choose from depending upon in which you are interested in. There are course for accounting, biology, drama, computer science and many more. I myself am a junior biology major. And I must say the Biology department is probably one of the best departments in the school. Not only do we have four laboratories to conduct any experiments in, we have a computer lab with access to any science information needed. We also have a wonderful biology professor’s staff that care a lot about our success. The biology department is located in lower Maura Hall. Along with Maura Hall there are seven more Halls and academic offices located throughout the campus
Beside major courses all student are required to take electives and core classes along with their major courses. Those classes give the students opportunities to explore other course out of their major. Course range from western culture traditions (history), freshman and senior seminar (English), artistic expression, (art, music) and many more.
