Pros:Swimming pool, air conditioning, private bathroom, private shower, ethernet
Cons:slightly more expensive, further away from campus center
When I applied to MU, I had absolutely no idea where I was going to live. College life was a big change, and I was really confused. I heard that Mark Twain was one of the best dorms, so I decided to look into it.
After comparing it with the others, I decided to live here, and I'm glad that I did. There are many aspects of Mark Twain that make it the superior dorm on campus.
There's a swimming pool. None of the other dorms have one, so it's a convenience that most people here don't have. Even if you don't use it, it's a good thing to brag about. :)
Mark Twain is air conditioned! That really helps in the summer!
You get your own bathroom! This is the best part of life in Mark Twain. You don't have to shower in a public shower, nor do you have to walk down the hall to use the bathroom. You have a bathroom that you only share with one other room. (The 2 rooms are connected with a bathroom/shower).
Mark Twain recently got a brand new dining hall, so the distance from the other dorms isn't a big factor. If you want something to eat, the Mark Twain Market is right downstairs!
It might cost a little more than the other dorms, and it might be a little further away, but from what I've seen, Mark Twain is the best way to go! It also has ethernet internet access, which is a big plus!
