Princeton is okay

Pros: Great material
Cons: Teachers are smart, but they are arogant, self important. Waste of time to attend class
The Bottom Line: You have to take it as seriously as real thing. Otherwise you are wasting your time and money

I took Princeton review. I found that teachers were self important and one was arogant know it all. They were almost inconvenienced when student asked follow up questions--internal message "you are not going to make it if you don't know this". I basicallly stopped coming to classes. What was nice that head office guy was flexible and said he will let me to take exams later, when I would be ready. I took semester off and self study and went through all the books. This I would recommend!! What helped me the most were sample questions with answers--chemistry and physics. Biology is the easiest and you don't even need to study for that. I got Kaplan books from friend and I thought Princeton's books were better. After studying by myself I cracked the code. I knew that I would do wonderfully on the science exam, but as a foreigner, my verbal stayed low. That is a code that I could not crack even by practising and reading all the material in the world! I think Princeton is trying to make it as hard as real MCAT. Actually real MCAT appeared easier to many. At the end I decided to do something else with my life, but I don't feel I wasted money. At the end I knew I would win. Princeton or Kaplan will not take funnel and pour knowledge into your head. Take preparation very seriously. I know 80% of my class would not make it. My insight was that I should have this material when I took classes in chemistry and physics--first year in college. Take it early. You need to have material early. They teach classes differently and MCAT prep is different, because it really focuses you on the "meat" of understanding. Best wishes future doctors!
