The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a radar detector, and you're a penny pencher, go for the 9110. If you like a few extra features, go for the 9860.
jwillia's Full Review: Cobra Electronics ESD 9860 Radar Detector
Ok, I have been able to test the 9860. I had a Cobra 9110 before (see my review). So far I haven't seen anything that is just blows the 9110 away. The cool features would definitely be the compass, and the voice is ok. The thing I don't like about the voice is that it is delayed. What I mean is that when one of the alerts go off it first makes a noise then the voice clearly states "K Alert" or whatever alert you come across. I know that sounds minor, but this means you still have to look at the detector to see which alert it is. (However, it does have different sounds for different alerts, just have to memorize them) Don't get me wrong, I love this one, too. But the jump in the price, it's not worth it. If you have the money sure! But if you are on a small budget for a detector, go with the 9110! By the way, the only reason I bought it, was that I got the 9860 off of ebay for the same price as the 9110. Tip:Always check ebay b4 buying anything at a retail store! Check back here often as I will be posting updates on this product.
