Pros: works VERY well at knocking out outside noise, good bass response too
Cons: none really other than the cables can get caught up on things

The batteries are ONLY for the noise canceling feature. With dead batteries the headphones will be like any regular pair.

Question... so if your batteries are dead, can you still use them as regular headphones and hear the music? (I'm a little confused at your wording)
