I am one of those people who like to push the speed limit and try not to get cought. I bought the Whistler 1650 to try to evade a confrontation with Ol' Smokey the Bear and after bad luck with a Cobra detector (read my other review). At first I bought the Whistler from a local Wal-mart and seem ed to work all right but after a bit I noticed it had never actually gone off anywhere near a cop but only while driving by McDonalds. So after a week or two I took it back and exchanged it for another but the text display never displayed anything but seemed to beep and stuff by the Fuzz. I returned it and now have a Fuzz Buster brand. I don't know if I just have bad luck or if it is the company, my friends have had good luck with Whistler but I was the first to try the 1650.
