Good Basic Radar Detector

Pros: Good price, all band/laser in a nice basic package, attractive unit

Cons: Short range(but enough), lots of false alarms

The Bottom Line: Buy it if you want a cheap radar detector that works, it makes driving more interesting, and it might save you from getting a ticket. LOL

I bought this for a recent 12 hour drive, and was impressed with it. Though it had some false alarms, I was alerted to all cops, laser, photo radar units, unmanned radar units, and many electric doors (I didn't really use the city mode). I had to learn the sounds of the different alerts because I positioned it so low on my dash I couldn't view the alerts. Once moved the alerts are clear enough for the daytime, and stand out at night. I would like a unit with more range, but honestly this had enough. It made my 12 hour trip much more interesting, and faster.
