I bought this player secondhand over a year ago now. When it arrived I was dismayed to find that the delivery process had not been too kind to my latest toy and I actually had to send it in for repairs. Luckily I was able to get it done locally and was "only" charged 50 bucks.
Considering what I paid ($250 US with repairs), I am incredibly happy with my purchase. When comparing the audio fidelity to higher-end CD players in the $500-$700 range I am thrilled to say that this Denon player sounds better than most. And if I ever do a serious upgrade of my receiver, the 370 comes equipped with a digital coaxial output which lets me use it as a 5-CD transport.
The downside to the great sound and great price performance is that a lot of the frills are left out here. The dislay has no dimmer, you can't turn it off with the remote control, and the carousel is a bit noisy when switching discs. But when you consider the comparatively low price of this player you understand why these things weren't developed.
