| wiper's Full Review: Sony CDP-CX400 400-Disc CD Changer |
I've got two of these and I love not having to load and unload a CD player. 800 CDs can play for a really long time and, if you take the time to program your CD correctly, you have a lot of versatility in how they play. You wouldn't even need to do this if (when - I'm sure it will eventually happen if not already) Sony built in a PC/MAC interface that allowed you read the CD when you put it in the box, went out to Freedb or CDDB on the internet and download all the info on your CD, programmed the jukebox and created a PC/MAC CD library database as well!
What the heck, for around $200, it's worth it the way it is. A single player takes a while between songs on shuffle play, but with two boxes linked according to Sony's instructions, you can use the 'no pause' feature to ping pong between the jukeboxes for continuous play - kinda like "Radio Wiper" in my own home with no songs I don't like (yes, you can program the device to not play songs you don't like).
