I purchased this unit 2 years ago, and at the $169.00 price tag did not expect much. After the $20.00 rebate $149.00! I really had planned on using this unit for a short while until I could afford something better, and yes did spend a lot more for another unit. I could have saved my money as this unit works fine, with enough power for my Polk floor speakers. You may have to turn the volume knob up a bit, depending which speakers you have, the sound is very nice. And enough ports to hook up extras. Additionally what was the deciding factor in purchasing this unit was the weight of receiver. Metal casing and not a cheap plastic receiver. Too bad I do not see these Aiwa receivers around anymore, at least not in New York City.
