| chuck2001's Full Review: JVC RX-8000V 5.1 Channels Receiver |
I have had JVC CompuLink products for over 7 years. I recently upgraded to the RX-8000VBK after installing DirecTV at home. The old RX-815V is now driving the surround sound on the second satellite receiver in another room. Still works great, but the lack of flexibility with new equipment lead to the change.
Given my excellent results from my JVC equipment, the RX-8000VBK was the obvious choice. The fact that I found it online for $275 made it a no brainer. You can't come close to this receiver for this price. The comparable Sony is close to $400 with no additional features. Set up was easy and straight forward and the sound is great through my Bose Acoustimass speakers, especially Dolby digital from DVD. You can't go wrong!
