The Bottom Line: I shopped around quite a bit before purchasing this receiver. Well worth the money.You will be surprised at the sound quality.

Nice quality sound,will rattle your walls with the right speakers. Accommodates all of your external devices with 5 ports in back and 1 in front all containing S video ports and also 3 optical. I was amazed at how many features JVC put in this receiver, which does have a tendency to overwhelm at first but when you use the on screen menu via your t.v. it makes selecting your preferences a lot easier to follow. The auto pcm feature will even sense the incoming digital or analog signal and adjust accordingly even on DTS. I have had the RX-8000VBK for almost a year now and I'm glad I chose this model. You would have to spend quite a bit more to get the kind of features this receiver offers. Big sound for average amount of money. Highly recommend!
