I have owned this receiver for 2 weeks now, and I am still in awe over the performance of my new home theater system. I have this receiver paired with a Sony Wega TV, Sony 5-disc DVD changer, and a Sony 6 piece speaker system. This receiver is more than powerful enough delivering 100 watts/channel and the sound is crisp and clear from any source. I have heard several opinions that Sony is terrible and that this receiver hisses, and I completely disagree with them. The dts decoding is awesome for dts movies such as Jurassic Park. The remote control can control all devices, but it is just awkward to use and I prefer to use the individual remotes. Sony does make a nice all-in-one remote, but I have not purchased it. The optical input from the DVD player makes DVD sound absolutely awesome.
