| jasondwfu's Full Review: Aiwa TS-W60 Subwoofer Speaker |
I bought this subwoofer early this summer for use with my Sony pro-logic minisystem. It was(I will get back to the was) a great sub for its purpose. With 120 watts powering an 8inch driver there was a good amount of bass on tap. And with features such as an auto on-of, phase selector, low and high level inputs, gain control, and crossover there was more than enough tuning options. I paid $150 at Circuit City and it did a fine job of powering up my room; the bass was a little sloppy(but hey for 150 what do you expect), but it was definitely loud. It had more than enough kick for home theater(although the frequency extension isnt all that low). However; it seemed to be a little loose when handling quick bass in music. I enjoyed this sub thoroughly, but I eventually took it back to get a larger tighter sub to keep up with my 6.1 system(reviews later on). Circuit City has a great upgrade plan on speakers; buy any speaker set or sub and take it back within a year and get a full credit towards a more expensive piece. Overall this would be a great sub to match with a minisystem; it wont power a medium to large sized room or with terrific accuracy, but it fits its niche well.
