Pros: Good range, good fit, better than probably any other headphone in the $20 price range.
Cons: A disappointment after reading such praising reviews, but I have been spoiled by "audiophile" headphones.
The Bottom Line: Better than most in their range, but not that great.

They are good compared to the throw-aways that come with your $30 cd player, but not that great compared to quality headphones. The sound is okay, not as bad as the free ones, but way too much midrange and treble. There is deep bass in there, which means it has the advertized range, but it is not a balanced frequency response.
The only reason I can imagine these get good reviews about thier bass is the frequency response. It must be shocking to hear bass frequencies you've never heard on throw-away headphones, but that doesn't make these headphones great.
The fit is a little tight but it keeps out external sound, which is great.
These hearphones are VERY VERY LOUD!!! Very sensitive. They might be perfect for a 3 volt cd player, but hook them up to a computer or amp and they are earsplitting above 10% volume. This also means that any hiss is GREATLY exagerated by these headphones. The hiss from my laptop, which I never noticed before, is now very annoying. I will probably have to use a add-on volume control to turn the volume down far enough that the hiss is gone.
However, I have tried other headphones in this price range, and these blow them out of the water. The last ones I returned (Koss) sounded so bad... I would comparethem to tin cans but that would be an insult to tin cans everywhere.
So I guess I have to give these a good review. I've just been spoiled by my Sennheiser HD540... May they rest in pieces.
