Pros:Clarity, quality, life-like sound reproduction, B&O form AND function, Electrostatic Technology
Cons:Counterfeits everywhere to burn the price shoppers!!
The Bottom Line: Unbeatable for music perfection. If you are any sort of an audiophile, then you'll not be disappointed - period. Sound is a science, and these are made by the masters.
These headphones are exactly what I'd expect from a company that's known as the pinnacle of audio/media products and technology. My first thought was I know these are B&O, but can a set of earphones be worth $160? After a scroll through a few gig of music, I can immediately say yes. The sound reproduction and clarity of detail is nothing short of amazing. I have a home system that consists of all Harman Kardon, JBL, Boston Acoustics, and some older Carver components, so I consider myself a mid-level audiophile. I still was able to clearly and distinctly hear things in many of my favorite songs that I've never heard before. I'm talking about entire guitar riffs, back-up instruments I've never heard, artists fingers sliding up and down the guitar-string ridges between every chord and note, echos through the studio, the ability to "hear" the different locations the artists were from the microphones while recording each track of the song. I've never heard this detail with $K's worth of home equipment. I must say that I wasn't "sold" at first when I put them on. Then I read a little about how the ear canal needs to be "sealed" off for air pressure to reproduce the lower end, and therefore recommended using foam covers when applicable for a better seal on ear-buds. Bingo!!! Wow, did they just come to life!!! I'll recommend these all day long. They are exactly what B&O is all about. Style, performance, and commitment to life-like audio reproduction 2nd to none. It's a shame there are many counterfeits out there and that many people unfamiliar with Bang & Olufsen are going to buy on price and end up with a poor quality, blah sounding, way over-priced set of Chinese "look-a-likes" and never know what they're really missing out on. If you want a stunning set of earphones, spend the money for the real deal from a reliable source and know what you're getting. If you truly enjoy music for it's details, clarity, and life-like reproduction they just can't be beat.

P.S. If you are looking for ear-jewelry with bass pounding performance, listen to a lot of heavy bass techno, then these are not for you. (They have great, deep bass reproduction, but not "heavy" pounding bass) You can totally hear the difference between an actual instrument and electronic reproduction sounds. Lesser quality compressed MP3's really give up the ghost in what they've sacrificed for their size too. I had to delete some of my music and rip higher quality larger files to do these and my ears justice. (I put these through their paces with everything from CSN&Y, Doobies, Skynyrd, Segar to 80's Pop, Rock, and Hair-metal, on up through Nickelback, Limp Bizkit, Korn, and Dave Mathews. I think that's a pretty eclectic mix, and they performed phenomenally well with all these styles).
