Pros: Small Unit, light, attractive, Backlit LCD on remote and main unit
Cons: External battery box is rather bulky, battery life isn't the greatest
The Bottom Line: You should buy this Mini Disk player if you don't have one already because it is lightweight, portable, and has great sound quality.

The Aiwa AM-C80 is a good MD player/recorder overall. It has 40 second E.A.S.S. shock protection (Electronic Anti Shock System), Mono recording, title input while recording, great headphones, an optical digital cable, and an external battery box which is rather bulky. Other than the bulky battery box though, the Aiwa Mini Disk Player unit is outstanding. The included optical digital is a plus when connecting the player to an external CD player to record.
This was the first Mini Disk player I bought and I'm glad that I bought this unit. My only complaint is that the rechargeable battery should be included with the player and not be an optional accessory because battery life is extremely important when your on the go.
