Hi. Is it possible that you may have accidentally turned the anti skip feature off? I had the same thing happen with my Sony a while back. It was driving me crazy until I spotted the switch to turn the anti skip on and off. My sister had turned it off when she borrowed my Discman. 		Apr 04 '01
