| rochambeau's Full Review: Compaq iPAQ PA-1 (64 MB) MP3 Player |
Sorry for the poor play on words...
First, Speakman in his review is wrong. The PA-1 has, and does, support W2K. I have it on my system as we speak. Installation was simple and flawless.
The PA-1 is my 3rd MP3 player, and by far the best. If you have seen Compaq's nifty new PDA, the iPaq 3650, then you have seen the quality that goes into this product.
The PA-1 is incredibly small but the control buttons are well layed out. The LCD screen is small but has a cool blue backlight.
The included RioPort software is adequate. However, if you are a real MP3 junkie, then I HIGHLY recommend that you get a copy of Sonic Foundry's Siren. It does everything from audio ripping, MP3 encoding and supports portable MP# players. I have my PA-1 on it and it is a great combo.
