geniusgza's Full Review: Panasonic SL-CT570 Personal CD Player
I had a really old Panasonic CD player, and I decided it was time to buy a more up to date one. So when I was shopping, I found the SL-CT570 at a great price. I bought it on the spot, and I wasn't disappointed with it.
One of the great features of this CD player is it's controller. You can keep the unit in your pocket or bag, and use the controller to change the song, adjust volume, lock it, and turn it on and off. At first I didn't think that I would use it very much, but it came in very handy, I found myself using it more and more. This controller goes along nicely with the stylish design of the player itself. It's very modern, and high-tech looking.
Some people may think it looks cheap, but it's the opposite. This is a very durable quality CD player. I have dropped quite a few times, sometimes on the road, from 5 feet up. The CD player showed no ill effects other than a few scratches. Along with the durability, it's batteries are outstanding. It comes with 2 rechargeable Ni-MH AAA batteries. And all you have to do, is plug in the adapter, and leave it charging overnight. And if you need more battery power, included is an extra battery case that attaches to the back of the CD player. This comes in handy when traveling.
The sound quality is also good, sounds like any other decent boombox to me. It comes with earbuds, and although they are good earbud headphones, some people like the over the head ones, as do I. That was no problem, I just bought a pair, and the sound was consistent. And with the 40 second anti-shock, you never miss a beat. But one of the best features, is that you can change the anti-shock to 10 seconds, or off completely, when you don't need all 40 seconds. This can really save battery life.
When writing this, I tried to think of a bad thing about this CD player, and I really couldn't. I'm not going to think about it forever, trying to find a fault. For the price I bought it ($125 US), it's definitely one of the best, along with more expensive models.
