| jongpin's Full Review: Panasonic SL-SX270 Personal CD Player |
I bought my SL-SX270 cd player last year as my first CD player...9 months later it broke cause I accidentally dropped it...but I am giving out my opinion about this fine cheap CD player after 9 months of service. Now the one who succeeds into bringing me music is the Sony D-EJ725 CD Walkman.
Bought it for $130 Canadian, really cheap player, but because this is my first CD player I was really excited to get one because I had a CD burner to play with and create music CDs. As soon as I popped the CD into the player I listened and was totally impressed. I switched it to S-XBS mode and it bought me acceptable sound with bass response through the Panasonic earphones. The battery life was also exceptional, with 28 hrs playback. With everyday use I was able to change batteries within a week.
Ease of use is the one key component for this cheap CD player. It had all the features of a typical Discman but what I really liked was the convenient Pop-up Disc Eject system where you can pop-up the cd out of the player instead of handling the CD by it's pivot to remove it, as what I saw in Sony's CD Walkmans.
What I didnt like about the player however is the unavailability of a remote control. Though I did not need this as I am able to control the player conveniently, a remote control is better.
The Anti-Skip system is also convenient. Now I am able to run, walk or jog without having the music to be interrupted. However the Anti-Skip system isnt always convenient as it skips when excessive shock is applied into the player. Yet after 9 months the player has bought me great music.
Now that its broken, I have bought the Sony D-EJ725 CD Walkman. You can see my opinion on that product, and yes I was very satisfied.
