| sfbay_gal's Full Review: Panasonic SL-S262 Personal CD Player |
I was shopping for a cd player in circuit city when this model of Panasonic grabbed my attention. It has all the qualities I want in a cd player: budget priced(about 40-50). Slim, 40 second anti shock memory, and most important of all, long battery life. I was also happy to learn that it is MADE IN JAPAN. I am a big fan of Panasonic product as they combine superior engineering, useful features, and usually look more expensive than they are.
This particular model plays cd with great ease. 40 second anti shock means I never have to worry about skipping songs even when I jog.
The official battery life is 24 hours for double alkaline. I never really recorded how long they last but they do last quite a few plays.
slim is nice when I need to stick the CD player in my pocket.
Other useful Features:
1. there's a button you push which pop up your cd, very handy indeed.
2. A hold function-especially useful when you put your cd player away, now you don't have to worry about accidently hitting that "next track" button and being forced to go to next song!
3. it has the usual functions-memory, repeat, next song etc, and a LCD screen. The only thing I would add is a battery indicator-I'd like to know if I should bring extra batteries, even though they do take a while to run out.
