| sakic's Full Review: Panasonic SL-SX469V Personal CD Player |
An older unit now but still a decent deal around $80 - $100. The unit is a moderate sized unit, not as small as the Panasonic SL-CT 510 or the 570 or the older Sony 777s but it is smaller than the Shockwave units. Light in weight the unit feels a little bit flimsy in the hand. The add on battery pack made of plastic also tends to break easily when dropped but name a battery pack that doesn't. The tuner is not the greatest either, but considering the size of the unit ... it is acceptable. I like the full sound of the unit but not with the 'headphones' that were provided with the unit. The controls are easy to use and are readily visible on the lid of the unit. The shock protection is similar to any other unit of its generation, 40 seconds. The key to the unit is the value for the relatively lower price, especially for a unit with the AM/FM tuner. For those who are weary of the fragility of the unit, move up to the new Shockwave unit with the AM/FM tuner for about $125-$130.
