| Noreted's Full Review: Sony Walkman D-E200 Personal CD Player |
I bought this Discman because my old Sony Disman (which lasted me 3 great years!) was starting to see it's last days... it was getting old and skipping more often than it did. I was so pleased with my last Sony though that I decided to buy another Sony. These days Discmen are so expensive that I decided to spring for one less expensive, I figured it was an experiment and if I didn't like it I wouldn't lose too much money. Little did I know I was getting a great deal!
This Discman is very simple, the "Play" and "Skip" buttons are combined. There is not a "Pause" button but when you stop the track, it cuts off but it will resume to the same place. This feature is called "Resume" that is an option on the more expensive Discmen. On my old Discman (that cost me $115 at the time) I turned on the resume feature and never used the Pause button. This Discman operates just the same as all the others and has the normal features such as "Extra Bass" and "HOLD" which are both standard on Sony Discmen. This Discman barely ever skips. I've dropped mine a few times on the sidewalk or street and it hasn't skipped, but once the top opened up. You can turn the "ESP" feature on low/high depending on the kind of listening you're doing. This Discman is very easy to use and would be great for anyone wanting to listen to CDs on the move whether its my parents, me, or a teenager!
Overall I am very satisfied with this Discman, and even though it Lacks some buttons I don't feel they're neccesary anyway! Until I find a flaw in this most excellent product I am going to rate this to the tops and recommend this for you or as a gift.
