I recently bought my Sony MZ – E62 minidisc player and I am loving it. It weighs virtually nothing and fits in a shirt pocket. The batteries last for ages and all the controls are on the small remote. No matter how hard you try it is impossible to make the track skip or jump. There are loads of features like AVLS and mega bass settings.
The unit is so small and really tidy and smart, you get a nice fleecy bag to put it in and some really good quality headphones.
It is really easy and fast to record disks using the record deck on my hi-fi, with the option to create copies of existing albums on CD or to create you own compilation of your favourite tracks. You can fit up to 80mins of music in stereo, or 160mins in mono on a single disc. And you get perfect CD quality playback.
Blank minidiscs are dirt cheap – about £1 each, they are really small and very robust – the perfect medium.
