Pros: Great low end extension and overall sound quality. High power handling and low distortion.
Cons: It could have handled about 350 more watts RMS, just joking! 350 is extremely adequate.
The Bottom Line: This sub seriously kicks major @$$, right down to the seat of your pants. Truly incredible distortion free bass that literally knocks the air out of you!!!

The scientific world says that certain species of animals can hear extreme low frequencies of 18HZ and lower. Some emit these low frequencies for communication purposes and others to startle their prey before striking a fatal death blow.
The Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 is no doubt a low frequency breathing monster that has the guts to back up its growl. It is composed of an aluminum alloy that is both extremely strong and incredibly accurate when trying to produce low frequencies. It has a butyl rubber surround that is sun, water, and fatigue resistant under the unbelievable G forces that the subwoofer experiences pulling low G's.
The kapton bobbin 2.5" voice coil is wound with heavy guage wire and the backplate is deeply bumped to eliminate bottoming out, a feature trademark of Kicker subs. The flat progressive spider and aluminum diecast basket enhance the control of the Infinity 12.1 significantly reducing audible distortion. The curved vent helps to reduce noise and allows considerably cool operation under high power.
The power handling is more that sufficient in producing a sonic boom in your vehicle and guess what your drivers' seat is ground zero of the atomic blast. Make sure to pour the watts down the throat of this beast to generate maximum low frequency boom. But as stated try to stay within the recommended wattage range of 350 RMS or continuous or you could possibly burn out the coil.
Their is one other sub on the market that I personally know of that can hang with the Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 and that it none other that the Alchemy Pro. Other that that this sub can play from one extreme to the next,ie. classical to bass music. The bass is overwhelmingly distinct and accurate all the way down to what you are able to hear on the low frequency spectrum, which is around 20Hz for humans. Anything lower that that you feel throughout the vehicle and undoubtedly over your whole body. I enjoy a full body massage and thanks to the 12.1, in the comfort of my own vehicle.
This is a competition level subwoofer not for the poor of heart,because it could possibly fail under the low frequency animal kingdom rumble of the Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1. So unleash the beast and feel/hear the growl of the subwoofer kingdom without going on safari!
