It's tiny, square, white and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. It does everything I ask it to do and never refuses to tell me just what I want to hear. That's its' job.
I purchased this machine after my long suffering Panasonic tape driven machine bit the big one, my son was going through a divorce, we were getting threatening calls - you know all the reasons. Anyway, I ran out and picked this one up loving the fact that I no longer had to mess around with those darn tapes that sound like the dickens after a while, and you can never find the correct replacement tape.
How does she look?
She's small (I call her Lydia) and compact, almost fitting entirely in my hand. The speaker, located along the top of the face of the machine, is large and provides good quality sound.
Lydia is digital. I like all things digital since I am number challenged (OK, no one ever taught me how to tell time, I am still suffering through that pain). The square display section flashes just how many of those cursed messages the telemarketers have left you all day long, in a nice shiny red.
Lydia KNOWS how to tell time (apparently her parents taught her), and she also knows what the day is, which I sometimes do not! When you push the button to listen to her talk, she announces the day and time before each message, so you know just when that message came in (OK, if I would check the messages every day I'd know anyway, wouldn't I? But I don't, so thanks Lydia for the information).
Lydia has several buttons on her body that you can access to your hearts content. These include: on/off, setup, clock, volume, announce, memo, delete. This just shows you she is multi-functional and very talented.
What else can the fair Lydia do?
Say I am visiting my brother in Florida and am just dying to know whether or not that hot number I have been trying to get next to has called me lately. I just dial my number and use my remote code and - ta, da! - bummer, no messages! But if there were, Lydia would be kind enough to give them to me.....lol.....unless she is saving them for herself!
With my remote feature I can also change my outgoing message (like, hey honey, if you are trying to reach me you can call me at ........oops......), delete the messages I have already listened to so she doesn't have to strain her vocal chords the next time I call, or skip past messages that seem irritating to me (that would be most of them).
What does Lydia need to feel at home when she moves into your house?
How about an electrical outlet and a phone jack? That's it and that's all, she is very undemanding!
If you are in need of an inexpensive product that offers high quality, don't overlook this nice little machine. It is precise, petite, and perfectly capable!
Thanks,
Susi
