I have a home office and always had a problem when the business line rang and I was not in the office. I wanted a cordless phone for my business line but it was difficult to pick one because I could not find one that was feature rich.
Finally I saw the Siemens 3 line phone and it appeared to have all the features that I was looking for. After reading mixed reviews on it here at epinions, I decided to hold off and look at this phone.
At the time I bought this phone there was only one epinion and the rating was very strong. In hindsight I'll bet that this phone is the equal of the newer Siemens model. My concern when I bought the phone was that I would not get their newest software and others had complaints about the older version and Fry's Electronics had mostly open boxes in the store from returns. I was not comfortable because of that.
Features I like:
The intercom/transfer feature is great. Just wish it was easier to include others on the handsets into the call.
You can set the handsets up not to ring on my business line. A great feature if you have kids that answer any and all calls that come in.
Lots of memory for phone numbers and voice mail messages.
Speakerphone quality is excellent.
You can set the Voicemail on for one or both lines (I use voicemail from the phone company to capture messages when I am on a business call).
I like the way I can change from the headset to speakerphone by touching one button.
Caller ID is great.
The Handsets work great and my wife and young children had them wired quickly.
Things I do not like:
Headset compatability (or maybe my outlet is having problems)
It would be great to have a better easier way to select memorized numbers that I want to call.
