Pros: Nice, soothing ring. expandable, intercom and memories are all good things.
Cons: No memo feature, designed to prevent the use of aftermarket headsets.
I bought the KX-TG2382B because my wife liked the "la la la leeee" ring, and I wanted to have a more robust phone system for the house. The KX-TG2382B fit the bill and didn't hurt the bank account. Overall we really like the phone. It works well, and doesn't interfere with my 802.11b network. That is a big deal for a 2.4GHz phone.
There are two things I don't like about the phone though. One of them is the answering machine. The cheapest, low-end answering machine on the market allows you to make memo entries. This one doesn't. Since the answering machine tends to be "message central" in our house, the missing functionality leaves a gaping hole in the usefulness of the answering machine functionality.
The other thing I hate about this phone, is that it is not compatible with standard telephone headsets. They will fit, and you will be able to hear fine, but you will sound muffled and distorted to the person on the other end. This is a HUGE problem. Of course Panasonic says that you should only use their KX-TCA88 Headset, which they will happily sell you for about twice what you'll pay for any other headset. This kind of forced marketing makes me furious. I'll keep the phone because I already have it, but now that I know I can't trust Panasonic, I won't buy a Panasonic product again.
