Pros: Cool caller ID specific features, great range.
Cons: Weak battery, cheap microphone for answering machine outgoing message.
The Bottom Line: No matter how many cool gadgets they put into a phone, if the battery is weak, what good does it do you?

I've had this phone for a few years now. It was quite expensive (around $250) when I bought it, but it looked cool and seemed to have some nice features.
You can set it up to ring differently, and have the screen light up a different color, when certain people call (if you have caller ID service). I really like that feature. Also, the reception range on this phone is awesome! I can go outside, and walk 7 houses away before I start losing reception. Now for the bad.
From Day 1, I never liked the answering machine part of this phone. It took me a long time, experimenting with different volume levels and such, for me to leave an outgoing message that you could hear clearly. Another glaring problem is the short battery life. I actually had to install a splitter with a regular (corded) phone, next to this Panasonic, because it died so often that I needed another phone nearby so I could keep talking! I ordered a new battery (through Radio Shack) thinking that this would solve the problem. Nope.
Anyway, this model is very old now, so it's a moot point. I doubt anyone would even be able to find this phone in a store anywhere now. But, if you are considering a more recent Panasonic model, I sure hope they have improved the battery. No matter how many cool gadgets they put into a phone, if the battery is weak, what good does it do you?
