Pros: Big on features and range
Cons: Below average sound quality
The Bottom Line: If quality voice reproduction is what you want in a cordless phone, don't bother with this one. If the features are more important, then this might be for you.

| heresmy2cents's Full Review: Panasonic KX TG2670 2.4 GHz 1-Line Cordless Phone |
I suppose everything is relative. I thought this phone fell terribly short on true voice reproduction quality. Some reviewers thought it sounded great. Well, okay, compared to what?
The truth is, my 3 year old Uniden 900mhz digital spread spectrum phone beats the socks off this newer, more expensive 2.4ghz Panasonic, and I think that's pretty sad. Keep in mind, now, that I'm referring strictly to the quality of the voice reproduction. As far as extra features go, this Panasonic leaves my Uniden in the dust. Surprisingly, the range of these two phones is about equal. I can walk just as far with my Uniden as I can with the newer Panasonic.
But what do any of the bells and whistles matter if it sounds "tinny" when you're talking to someone? This problem was immediately brought to my attention the very first time I used this Panasonic. I called one of my business partners, and the first thing he said was, "Do you have a new phone?" Yikes! Not a good sign. When I asked him why he said that, he said, "You sound different, sort of like you're in a well or like you have a cold." I told him to hold on a second while I switched back to my old trusty Uniden. He immediately said, "Oh, that's much better!"
And that was the beginning of the end of my love affair with this phone. If my friends and family who know what my real voice sounds like start asking, "What's wrong with your voice?", then no amount of extra features will make me keep that phone.
I rated this phone's sound quality a 3 (Average; clear enough to understand) because, while there was NO evidence of hisses or cracks using this Panasonic phone, the true voice quality just doesn't cut it.
If voice quality doesn't matter to you, then I'm sure this phone will serve you well. It has great range and lots of nice features. But if you don't want to have to convince your Mom that you "don't have a cold" and that she doesn't need to rush a bowl of chicken soup right over, then I'd suggest looking for a different phone.
