| Betta's Full Review: Panasonic KX TC1450 900 MHz 1-Line Cordless Phone |
My name is Marie, and my husband and I were recently given a Panasonic KX-TC1450B as a gift, because our present phone was on it's last leg. The set-up was very easy, just remove it from the box, plug in the phone wire and adapter, and let it charge! Most phones say to let charge for a full 24 hours before use, but as most of you know that is unreasonable. So it charged for about an hour before we just had to use it!
The phone is very simple to operate. I called my Mom and while on the phone, walked out to the mailbox to check our mail. Now, our front yard is a half acre, and the mailbox is across the street, so it is quite a ways from the house. Add to it that we live in a subdivision, I was expecting some static and interference! With our old phone I could not even walk out onto the front porch without getting static! But this phone was perfectly clear, the whole way there and back. I was impressed!
Back in the house my husband decided to program family and friend's numbers into the phone. He didn't read the manual, but had no problems figuring it out. It can store up to 15 phone numbers in it's memory.
The phone is equipped with volume control and noise reduction. It also lets you choose between 2 ringers, so you're not stuck with one that grates on your nerves.
It also comes with an intercom, so another person doesn't have to talk on a seperate phone for family calls. It is also convinient when you are trying to eat or write something down. I don't know about you, but I have never been able to get the phone to sit on my shoulder while I use both hands, so this feature is very helpful to me. Oh, and if like me you have a toddler who lives to hide the phone, you will love the handset locator. And it comes with a belt clip so you can take your phone with you, instead of racing across the house when you hear it ring, only to hear the dial tone when you pick up.
Finally, the battery time seems very long, much longer then our previous phone. It boasts 8 hours of battery life, but seems much longer then that. I don't think you will have to worry about the battery going dead in the middle of an important call.
My husband and I love this phone, it has many features that make life much simpler and less stressful. I'm sure if you buy it you will love it too. Thank you for reading my review.
