| RMLacy's Full Review: Panasonic KX TC1450 900 MHz 1-Line Cordless Phone |
I've used a cordless phone for the last 5 or 6 years and I love there convenience especially out by the swimming pool. This newest model from Panasonic is the best I've ever heard.
My son recently started college at an out of state school and he needed a phone for his dorm room. I gave him my old V-tech cordless that has always performed pretty well. This meant that I now needed a new phone. So, a few months ago I bought what I thought was the latest and greatest - a new 2.4Ghz Northwestern Bell phone. This turned out to be a piece of junk and my wife and daughter were constantly complaining about it. I hated it too, so I started looking on the Internet for opinions on what to buy. I read the reviews at epinions about the Panasonic model TC1450B and it sounded like just what I was looking for. I then started searching the net for the best price and found the TC1450B advertised in the $45 - $65 dollar range. At the same time I just happened to get a cyber coupon from Staples good for $20 off a $50 order. Staples also offers free shipping on any order over $50. When I searched their site, I found the Panasonic model TC1451B that I recognized as the new version of the TC1450B. I ended up paying a bottom line price including shipping, handling and tax of only $42.79 for Panasonic's newest model.
The best thing about this whole story is the performance of the TC1451B. It only takes four hours to achieve a full charge so you don't have to wait too long before you're ready to talk. It has almost twice the range of my old V-tech and its clarity is beyond belief. I really like the volume adjustment, because my hearing isn't particularly good. The lighted dial is nice and the speed dial programming is extremely easy to do. Having a speakerphone and a dialing pad in the base unit is like getting two phones for the price of one. I keep the base in our bedroom and it's nice to be able to turn the ringer completely off by just pushing one bottom for a couple of seconds. I can tell that this phone will serve me well for many years.
