| sierrahotel's Full Review: Panasonic KX TC1710 900 MHz - Cordless Phone |
The greatest thing about Epinions is telling others about great products (Briggs and Riley luggage, for example). The second greatest thing about Epinions is warning others about shoddy products. Which brings us to Panasonic cordless telephones.
The model I have is not quite 2 years old. I doubt it's even still available. But if it's representative of Panasonic phones, or if you're considering buying one at auction used, be warned: this is a lousy product that doesn't work.
First, the "1" button on the handset stopped working. Then the "4" button packed it in. Need to dial "911"? Forget it. You'd be better off writing a letter to the fire department - this phone handset won't dial "911" for you.
I could understand if this happened after making millions of calls - but that's simply not the case. I'd estimate my use of this phone to be below that of the average user.
So, if you're thinking of buying Panasonic - ask whether you're prepared to replace it in a year or two.
