This phone has it all! I waited to buy another cordless phone for many reasons. I had hoped I would find the basic features of the KX-TC1740B, and I truly didn't think you could find an all in one system for under $200.
When I found this I couldn't believe it, this phone is feature packed! Call waiting deluxe, answering machine, speaker phone, intercom system. You can control the speaker phone volume separately from the handset and vice a versa.
I recently had to use it as a baby monitor by leaving the intercom on and placing it near a crib, my grandson moved and it was crystal clear upstairs.
This phone has a feature I didn't find on any of the others, you can program it to page you when there is a message or you received a call without a message. No more calling to check I know automatically and can retrieve them from wherever I am.
The battery lasts longer than I have left used it off the charger, which is always days.
