Pros: Great features, easy to use, long battery life.
Cons: The belt clip is in the wrong place.
The Bottom Line: It's got the features you need, and a few features you don't know you need, but you do.

| dinad's Full Review: Panasonic KX TC1850 900 MHz 1-Line Cordless Phone |
Last summer I decided it was time to get a new cordless phone. The phone I was using had been through the mill; its lithium battery wasn't holding a charge, and the reception was iffy at best. So I did a little comparison shopping. I decided I wanted caller id. And 900mHz.
I found this phone. It has caller id on the back of the receiver; perfect for when you aren't in the same room as the base. It gets great reception; I can walk halfway around my block before I lose a connection.
And it has a few "lesser" features that I love: the Call ID screen and the buttons light up when the phone rings, which comes in handy at night or when you're watching tv with the lights off. When you misplace the phone (which I do almost daily) and hit the page button on the base, the phone rings UNTIL YOU FIND IT -- no more rushing from room to room listening for the ring. And it has a belt clip, so you can carry the phone with you even when your hands are full. Unfortunately the clip is a little too close to the middle of the phone, so it's center of gravity while clipped on to you is a little off; it doesn't lay flat against your body, and I'm always worried the phone will fall off.
I paid $80 for this phone at BestBuy in August 2000; it's probably even less expensive now.
