I love this camera, its my first digi, and Im amazed by its convenience, quality and functionality. I knew I wasnt buying top of the line; but, canon is a leader in this stuff. The pictures are fantastic, esp. the night time/low light ones.
If you are looking for a top notch camera, this isnt it. However, for those of us looking for fun at parties, or whatever, this is the best. It is really top notch for enthusiasts. For those maybe buying digital for the first time, everything has been a piece of cake. The software is easy to use; I recommend getting your hands on photoshop if you can, and buy the smartcard pci slot adaptor from Viking. You plug it into your laptop, and it instantly recognizes it as a drive on Windows. Easy. Copy and paste, or click and drag onto your hard drive. edit and rename. thats it. Or, on Mac OS X, the apple software instantly lets you make a website photot album. I love this after parties and family get togethers. Then, everyone around the country can see...
