| thecrutch's Full Review: Kodak Advantix C800 Zoom APS Film Camera |
I would NEVER have imagined I would have to complain about a cheaply made product from a company like Kodak, but here I am doing it. Bought this camera based on looks, price, size, and reviews. During first 5 rolls of film , had 2 minor film canister jams. After 6th roll was used and during re-wind sequence, it jammed again. After a couple of attempts to get film out, called Kodak tech support. They advised me after a few more attempts to get film out that I needed to send it in for repair at a Kodak Authorized repair shop. I did, and then got a call saying it was NOT covered under warranty because it appeared the camera had been " tampered " with! Then to ad insult to injury, tech advised me that they get back MANY C800's with this problem, and his opinion was that it is a design flaw. Then to further kick me, he says the cost to fix camera was MORE than I paid for it!! BEWARE this camera, BEWARE of a company that makes a poorly designed camera and BEWARE when they won't honor warranty.
