| emmom's Full Review: Kodak Advantix Preview APS Film Camera |
As a mother of a very active 15 month old I found myself taking picture after picture of my daughter with my 35mm. When I would get the pictures developed I would realize that I had numerous shots of the same exact pose or realize that my daughter had moved when I took the shot. This was especially true when I was trying to get "that perfect pose" for our family Christmas card. In addition, I was always trying to get close up pictures of her face and when they were developed they would be blurry. I decided I was not ready to go digital quite yet and I decided that the Kodak Advantix Preview might be the camera for me. IT IS!! It does a great job!! I can see the picture after I take it....if my daughter moves during the shot I can simply elect to not have that picture printed....no more shots of the side of my daughter's head!! Also, it does a great job with red-eye reduction. My daughter has light blue eyes and I always got red eyes with my 35mm. I can take close up shots of her now with no red eye to speak of. I recently took the camera with us to Walt Disney World and was able to get that perfect shot with Minnie Mouse!!
The only thing that is a little negative is that the cost of developing APS/and buying APS film is much higher than developing 35mm but you just need to look around for the best deal. I have found that I can buy the film at my local Costco Warehouse for a lot cheaper.
I would highly recommend this camera.
