They all look great in the box. Here are my comments after heavy usage.
The battery door hinge is poorly designed and very sensitive (breaks easily). The repair costs about $60 (I skipped it and have been using tape since mine broke. I already knew it was a vulnerable point after a friend of mine broke his, same model, and did treat that component with extra care. However, one day the camera slipped out of my hand and hit the ground just the right way, etc.)
Be cautious about trying to take consecutive pictures before the data is loaded, if your batteries are low.
My camera seems to have developed a firmware problem, which I can not fix, or reset without sending it back to Kodak. The picture card is fine, and the (re-charged) batteries are fine, but the controls no longer work. There was also a distorted picture in the view window when this crash occurred.
I would say that this is a great camera for a sometime user, but if you are taking a serious quantity of pictures and need action shots, forget it. It isn't fast enough. I used this camera very handily for interior decorating (when light was adequate) and still objects such as buildings, etc. But kids jumping off a boat, or equestrians taking hurdles... doesn't work very well.

This is a camera I'm going to look at because I have to look for one for photography class.
