| count's Full Review: Kodak DC3800 Digital Camera |
The Kodac D3800 lacks many of the features most people desire in a camera. For example, most people like clear photos, non-blurry photos. I have found it extremely difficult to create an image without it blurring. This mainly covers indoor photos but also outdoor photos. Some of the earlier Kodak models like the DC240 have made it possible to take excellent stills from moving vehicles, excellent indoors shots and very sharp images. For an example of this, see my Kauai photos website:
http://kauaiphotos.tripod.com
The DC3800, on the other hand, seems rarely able to provide sharp images. If there is the slightest movement in the contents of the image or the slightest move on the photographer's behalf, the image is ruined. If you would like some of my better examples of photos taken using the DC3800, please see my Hampstead Garden Suburb photos site:

The shutter speed is so slow that I find this camera almost impossible to use to create quality images and have given it to my 3 year old daughter as her play camera.
While the camera is compact and attractive, it is slightly difficult to insert the memory card as the door overlaps the carry strap.
There are very few settings available for the user. There is very little control over the camera so it's mainly to be used as a point and shoot. Again, better for children than adults.
All in all, I have found this camera fairly useless as a whole. It works well for some shots but it can not be relied on to take on a holiday or important photos.
Consequently, I do not recommend anyone purchase this camera. It is overpriced for what it is and some of the prior models are far superior and cheaper. I believe this camera represents poor value for money.
