As we draw nearer to the end of the first year of the new millenium, it seems everything has slowed down ranging from work to school, however Sharp has not slowed down in any respect. They are always at the forefront of building new technologies to lead us to easier and more exciting lives, and this time is no exception.
The newest line of digital camcorders from Sharp is the VL-FD1U. This digital camcorder has all the capabilities that a digital camcorder has, and much more. On a recent skiing trip, I took this camcorder with me on the mountain. First of all, this camcorder is so small as most digital camcorders are, it fit in my coat pocket. As I was riding the ski lift, I took the camera out, and shot some tape of me talking with my friends on the lift.
Sure, I realized, ohh, this is just another camcorder. However, when I went to the new bubble feature that allows me to add cartoon bubbles to the video, I imagined the possibilities. This camcorder could be used to play jokes on people, for important presentations, and to clear up what may not be heard on the tape.
This camcorder also has a feature that allows the user to view the movie frame by frame, and displays this on the screen that is standard on all digital camcorders. Also, when I clicked on any of the frames, the video would automatically jump to that corresponding part in the movie.
The only problem I found with this product was that it was extremely expensive but was worth it. My recommendation would be to wait a little bit before buying, as the price is bound to go down. Otherwise, this camcorder is probably the best on the market right now, and I would have no qualms about telling people to buy it.
