Pros: A professional Quality Camcorder at a consumer price.
Cons: None that I can think of even at three grand it is a steal!

I have a Sony dcr-vx1000 and for two and a half years it was and still is an amazing camera. I have shot over forty different events from weddings to plays in those two years and never did my VX1000 fail me! I thought there is no way sony can make this product any better. I tought wrong!
I opened sony web site one day and low and behold there is a new model a dcr-vx2000! I must have it and so, 120 hours of overtime later low and behold! I acquired the greatest video camera ever made to date! It has a picture rivaling that of video cameras costing ten thousand dollars or more. It has a signal to noise ration superior to every camera in it's class! I think the features them selves say everything so, here they are from the manufatcurers web site!

The only people that say bad things about vx-2000 are the people that purchased a canon xl-1 for close to five grand and complain just to make themselves feel better about spending two grand on a canon xl-1. I also think if NBC and ABC use vx-1000s and now vx-2000 I can not doubt there capability even in a professional field. I hope you all are fortunate enough to own a vx-2000.
