Pros: Durable, great picture and sound.
Cons: Not up to snuff with the newer models.
The Bottom Line: Look for newer players. The technology in this unit is far outdated. I wouldn't pay more than $75 for one now.

I jumped on this model the moment It was released in our area 2 maybe 3 years ago. I paid a premium price of $300. Now you can get twice the features for less than half the money. I will say it has been a most excellent player. It has held up quite well no skips and tracks the discs quickley. It is not compatable with CD-R or CD-RW, no MP3 decoding either. It is supposed to use photo CD's but I have never tried that feature. The virtual surround sound is nice if you only have a 2 speaker stereo. Sounds great in both DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1. The remote is very complete and easy to learn. It is good, if you can get one cheap like $75 or less you won't regret. Otherwise you may want a Sanyo or Apex with MP3 decoding, photo disc capable, and everything for around $100 US.
