| WOW's Full Review: Panasonic DVD-RV30 DVD Player |
After much debate (and I mean MUCH debate) I finally decided to invest my money in the Panasonic DVD player. I have done research on Epinions for almost a month, as well as read reviews on many other websites to partially decide on this player. I went to the Best Buy actually Prepared to purchase the comparable Toshiba DVD player. I got to the store and actually ended up with a logical Salesperson. Quite rare these days!. He said he would personally purchase this Panasonic DVD player over that Toshiba model because the Panasonic had Optical output for a better sound quality. I said that sounded good, did a little more research on the new found product, and made my purchase. So far I am very pleased. It has a ton of cool features that even I haven't found. I am trying to decipher through the thick instruction manual to figure out what some peculiar buttons do on the extensive remote control. There are so many it would be hard to explain them all.
It features Fast Scan which means a movie can very quickly be scanned through. I purchased "Gladiator" a while back and quickly scanned through that earlier today. It scanned so quickly, I was at the Battle of Carthage before I knew it. I would recommend this DVD player to anyone who is looking for an easy, simple to use DVD player, from a good brand. Another point, if you are going to skimp on one purchase for your "Home theater" don't let it be any cables. Best Buy sells a great brand of cable called "Monster Cable". The cables carry the signal better. The S-video cable which I purchased was about $60.00, but to me it is well worth it. I can really tell a difference in picture quality. I have my DVD player currently hooked up to my Aiwa Dolby Pro Logic system through A/V cables. It sounds excellent to me. It is the analog version of Surround Sound. The picture put out by the player is absolutely outstanding, it looks better than anything I've ever seen. If you are looking for a DVD player, definately look at this one with much consideration.
