| jonbowles's Full Review: Panasonic DVD-RV65 DVD Player |
This is my first epinion, but here goes. The Panasonic DVD-RV65 DVD player is a great mid-priced DVD player and has an ungodly amount of features. One of the best things that it has is the Dolby Digital® Decoder built-in. I bought some surround sound speakers (Sony SAVA-500) that had a receiver built-in. But the receiver was Dolby Digital 5.1 ready. Which means if your DVD player has a decoder your set, and since this does it was simply configuring everything. The sound is great. When watching a movie and for instance hearing glass shatter like in the movie "Gone In 60 Seconds" it feels like your there. The player looks great, and the display is crisp and bold. It has the S-Video hook-ups, optical, digital, and all the RCA's also on the back. The options menu, a pain to get in to, but when in, very advanced. It has options for everything. Including adding db for certain speakers, like raising the sound level of the subwoofer. Also has a feature to dim the display after movie starts playing. I guess one thing I don't like is that it doesn't play CD-R's. One of the only bad things. All in all a good player.
