| martnjonz's Full Review: Sony RM-VL900 Remote Control |
It took a while, but I finally found the perfect universal remote. Other remotes that I looked at either didn't control all the components of my home theatre (tv, dvd, vcr, receiver) or looked so gaudy and over engineered that I was about to give up on the whole idea.
The Sony RM-VL 900 is simple, intuitive and sophisticated. The set up instructions are very easy to follow. I was able to enter 3 pre-programmed components and "teach" the remote another in a matter of minutes.
I did have one problem however, but I believe it a pretty unique one. My Kenwood (Kenwood VR-309) receiver is one of the pre-programmed components, but a couple of buttons don't work. I'm sure I could teach the remote these actions, but the original remote was chewed up by a dog.
