I searched high and low for this baby. Not the Sony specifically, but one this versatile with lots of features.
I read many reviews on Remotecentral.com including their own
critical one.
What really sold me is no one seemed to have a problem programming this remote to do anything!
I don't have a super complex home theater, but I do have a Sony Wega with a manual option to enhance Widescreen DVD's.
It's always a hassle setting up to watch them because of all the menu options I need to get my TV set up for optimum DVD viewing in the Movie mode.
Now , by depressing 2 buttons, those settings are made in an instant!
Not to mention all my important DVD functions as well as my Satellite and audio/video receiver functions are at my fingertips.
About the only drawback is remembering all the buttons on the Sony remote that I programmed!
Plus, a back-light would be most helpful. And the buttons could be laid out more conveniently especially transport buttons.
These things aside, it's a very robust and powerful tool for commanding your home theater.
