| Todd's Full Review: AKG K 270S Professional Headphones |
The AKG 270S is a closed studio headphone. It features 2 drivers in each rather large ear piece. Frequency response is 20-20KHz. It comes with a 10 ft single sided cable terminated to a mini with a 1/4" adapter supplied. They are 75ohm impedance per side.
They sound, well to put it kindly - very poor. Bass is weak and barely audible the mids are recessed and highs honky. I cannot imagine anyone using these as studio phones for mixing. They are not what I look for in an expensive headphone. Comfort is ok but the sound is so poor for the money that I could NEVER recommend these to anyone. There are many less expensive headphones that offer superior sound in the AKG line!
To sum this review up, poor sound quality overrides any positives this headphone may have. Save your money and get something that reproduces sound more accurately and life like.
I was extremely disappointed after seeing their $299 price tag and hoping they would be a high end answer for closed headphones. These are not worth half the price:>(
