I bought these on the recommendations of epinion users and I was not disappointed. The accuracy and range is awesome. Incredible definition and clarity in the mid and high end, and bass is incredible--never muddy or distorted in any way. WARNING--Their accuracy will definitely show any deficiencies in the recording or your stereo. They seem well constructed and are comfortable to wear. They don't block out much ambient noise. but I don't think they were designed to do that. I am used to listening to speakers, so the imaging is all "inside your head", but that's the way it is with headphones. You could probably use these with a portable player (they come with the mini jack), but these are bit big for that, and most likely, they would expose the weaknesses of a portable.
